While I am fully convinced that scripture is the source of Gods revelation to mankind, I still love hymns and creeds. They are not authoritative or anointed the way scripture is but they can borrow that authority and anointing to the degree that they reflect the scriptures faithfully and accurately.  There is a mandate for us to create something new for the glory of God, to sing a new song. For years I would write songs and end up telling myself there is no point in finishing them for one reason or another. “Hasn’t someone more talented already written a song about that?”…or,  “There is just so much music being released... there is no point, it will never be heard…” Finally I came to this conclusion: God has given me a song and a story that no one else has, and second, there will never be enough songs written for the glory of God. It is literally impossible. No matter how “oversaturated” it may seem, Gods glory will always warrant more.  ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________                                                                                                                      
In February of 2025 I resigned from my role as a worship pastor and stepped into a season writing and recording songs. I sold my car and paid to get the songs recorded and released. There was never a plan to make a profit from the music. (As most people know, streaming services pay all of 0.03 cents per stream.) I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to create this album, "Here I am".  I have decided to offer it for free to anyone who wants it. I hope it is a blessing. I will include a place to give a donation if anyone feels like helping me continue to create more. I don’t know if I’ll ever get another opportunity to focus on it like I did this last year. I am praying that I do; but more than that, I am praying the Lord breaks wide open the gates of heaven for some people. Let His Kingdom Come.
